Saints Scouting French Striker
The whisper in France is that Saints are looking at replacing Jay Rodriguez with the latest wonderkid from France.
The man in question is Yann Karamoh (born 8 July 1998) who is an Ivorian-born French footballer who plays as a striker for Caen in Ligue 1.
He broke into the Caen side at the start of last season and was a regular in Ligue 1.
Karamoh only has a year left on his contract and could be available for around £8.5 million.
Everton and West Brom have looked at him as have Arsenal who consider him a little inexperienced at the moment.
What attracts him to a move to St Mary's though is the fact that he will be straight into contention for the first team squad something that he may not get at either big spending Everton or Arsenal who are under pressure to start attracting big names to the club rather than potential !
The player who will turn 19 in a few days can operate either as a right winger of a striker, the fact that Saints are considering a bid will suggest that Dusan Tadic could be on his way out of the door at St Mary's.
