Hilly on the telly
Dale's 2nd Round draw with Slough Town has been switched to Monday night and will be shown live on BT Sports.
The good news is that a lot of Dale supporters will be able to watch the game, and we'll get £72,000 for our part in doing so which is always welcome. The bad news is that travelling on a Monday evening will be problematic for many, meaning some supporters will miss out on this game.
Clearly the appeal of a Tier 7 side taking on Dale is a big draw, and I don't think anyone was surprised that this game had been selected by the TV people.
The draw for the Third Round will take place just before the game meaning that we'll be aware of potential opponents,
This will be Dale's sixth FA Cup game to be shown live on TV following the defeats to Wolves, Hartlepool, FCUM, Bury and Stoke. Ah well, there's always MK Dons at home.
