Saints shirt sponsor Virgin Media are subsidising tickets and travel for Saints Boxing Day trip to Wembley to face Tottenham Hotspur.
Some Saints fans have griped about Virgin subsidising visiting supporters to St Mary's, they complain that Virgin should be doing it for Saints fans for every game not helping other clubs.
If they bothered to look into this they would know that Virgin Media do this as part of their sponsorship deal with The Football Supporters Federation rather than their deal with Saints, indeed it is good publicity for Saints, although their own fans still don't seem to understand the logistics of the situation.
But no one can have any complaints on Boxing Day as Virgin Media are subsidising our trip to Wembley to face Spurs meaning that adult tckets are now only £20, but to add to that on a day when the transport network outside of London is shut down and Saints fans struggling to get to the stadium, they are also subsidising travel on the clubs official coaches.
That means it will only be £15 by coach for the trip, if you go with the club.
One sad thing is that it appears that Spurs are one of the Premier League clubs who although forced to only charge £30 for a full price Adult ticket, squeeze away fans by only giving small discouts to Oap's and youngsters.
Full details are as follows.
Southampton fans are set to be rewarded for their loyal support by main club sponsor Virgin Media, who are again subsidising tickets and travel - this time for the Boxing Day trip to Tottenham Hotspur. Saints travel to Wembley Stadium for a 12.30pm GMT kick-off on Boxing Day, with the club receiving an allocation of 3,070 tickets for the match and Virgin Media's offer, which enabled fans to take advantage of discounted tickets on three occasions on the road last season, will be in place.
