Support Peter's Saints Foundation Big Bike Challenge

A worthy cause from a Saints supporter who follows the team everywhere and is giving something back to the club and community, read his story and perhaps spare him a few pounds.

Pete Daniel is about take on a big challenge, he is going to ride from Manchester to Southampton over three days with the aim of arriving back for the kick off of the final game against Manchester City.

He says.

I am sure most of you will know I enjoy bike riding. My idea of a good bike ride is a 25 mile trip in the Forest. You will also know that once a year I do a sponsored ride around the IOW. This year I plan to push myself further and will ride from Manchester to Southampton. The ride will take place during the last week of the football season and the plan is to be back before KO on the last home game of the season. The ride is broken up into 3 days 77 miles, 90 miles and a short 66 miles to finish. I am committed to raise £800 for the Saints Foundation and hopefully with your help I will reach my target. I would also like to thank those that have already donated to help me towards my target. Thank you to anyone who can help me. Pete

The Saints Foundation has been set up specifically to raise funds for disadvantaged young people and adults at risk. The aim is to reach a £1million fund raising target each year, by harnessing the influence Southampton FC has on people's lives and making a real difference in the community.

So a tough challenge for Pete and one that is a very worthy cause, as you can read above he originally aimed to raise £800, but that had to be quickly revised and now stands at £2,000 but it would be great if he could also smash that total, you can help by donating via his just giving page using the link below even a couple of pounds will all help to a worthy cause.

You will recognise Pete on Sunday at St Mary's he will be the one wearing lycra shorts with an ice pack strapped to the rear and will be standing throughout the game because it will be too painful to sit.
