Manchester City Game Subject To Possible Change !
Saints are advising their supporters not to book travel or accommodation for the trip to the Etihad to play Manchester City as the game is subject to a change of date.
Saints supporters will have to wait until the end of this month and the third round of the Carabao Cup to be played before they will know what date that the team will play Manchester City at the Etihad.
Saints are due to visit Saturday 3rd November. however, should City progress past Oxford United and reach the fourth round of the Carabao Cup later this month, the fixture would be moved to Sunday 4th November.
That is because City visit Tottenham in the Premier League on Monday 28th October, meaning any cup clash that week would need to be held on Thursday 1st November, which would, in turn, push that weekend's league fixture back a day.
Ticket information for the trip to Manchester City is yet to be announced, but will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
The club would like to remind supporters that it advises against booking travel or accommodation for fixtures until they secure a ticket.
Sadly this is becoming far more prevalent in the Premier League, fixtures are chopped and changed and matches selected for TV with no thought of how they will impact on fixtures taking place before or after.
