Toon Army Take Reduced Allocation
Newcastle United have sent back a block of tickets from their allocation and these are now on sale to Saints supporters.
If Saints fans thing they have something to complain about then they should look at Saturday's visitors Newcastle United who are owned by Sports Direct boss Mike Ashley who is now intensely disliked on Tyneside to say the least.
However despite their bad start to the season it is a surprise that Newcastle have sent back block 43 in the away section and these are now on sale to Saints supporters for the 3pm kick off game on Saturday.
According to the Newcastle official website they have sold out the reduced allocation of around 2,400, but it seems they felt that would not sell anymore.
The home sections at St Mary's still have tickets left in all areas, but of the 2,000 tickets still available, around 800 of them are in the newly released block 43.
This is a big game for Saints, it's one where they need a packed St Mary's fully behind them and committed, it reminds me very much of 11 months ago when Everton were the visitors and on a Sunday we blew them away to give hope that it might be a good season after all.
That did not prove to be the case as this was our last league win for over two months, however when the season was done and dusted that victory last November did as much as any to keep us up and was vital in the run in giving us some breathing space on the last day.
So Saturday's game is just as vital, we need to win and win well to keep Newcastle rock bottom and us in mid table.
So we need some of those that gave up their season tickets over the past two seasons to come back, its a Saturday 3pm game, it's not on TV and it's vital, what more incentive is needed.
