Saints Linked With Ex Premier League Central Defender
Saints are being reported as being interested in ex Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel along with West Ham United and Crystal Palace.
Saints need to shore up their defence that is for sure, put bluntly if they don't sign a central defender with the quality and experience to start marking players in the box then it will be another tough end to the season.
The name Martin Skrtel won't excite many and at 34 he is not a long term option, but Saints need a short term fix and fast and Skrtel might fir the bill.
He spent 8 years at Liverpool playing 242 games in the Premier League for them between 2008 & 2016 and is now at Fenerbahce wit his contract due to end in the summer.
That means he would be available cheaply and it is said that all three Premier clubs linked have spoken with his agent about a potential move in January.
