Will Wolves Be Desolate Or Determined At St Mary's On Saturday !

After the disappointment of losing an FA Cup semi final and blowing a two goal lead in dramatic fashion, will Wolves be down or raring to go on Saturday.

The good thing about football is that we never know what happens next a poor result can either destroy a side in their next game or make it more determined and that is the question that will be answered on Saturday at St Mary's for Wolves.

The Black Country club still have a lot to play for in that they are in a prime position to finish 7th and that could propel them into the Europa League if the FA Cup final goes to form and Manchester City beat Watford.

So they will head South at the weekend with a lot to play for as one of four clubs along with Watford, Everton & Leicester who also have their eye on that 7th spot.

But what Wolves side will turn out at St Mary's, their problem has been consistency, their season has been built on bursts of form interspersed by some rather patchy form.

Indeed shortly after beating us back in September they had a 6 game run in which they drew once and lost the other 5, then suddenly burst back into life with three straight wins.

They started a good run in January but then lost to Huddersfield and of late they haven't found any consistency in the Premier League with every win interspersed by a loss or a draw, the good news here for us is that their last Premier League outing was a 2-1 win.

Football is a strange game, there is no reasonable explanation why great teams can suddenly lose games they should easily win and poor teams beat the best, it is all about mental strength and attitude and on Saturday we will find out whether the semi final disaster for them on Sunday with a Wembley final only minutes away snatched from their grasp , has crushed their spirit or made them more determined to make sure this season ends in success.
