Big Crowd For Leicester Expected
Despite being played on TV on a Friday night it looks like the visit of Leicester City is going to draw a big attendance to St Mary's after a late rush at the start of this week.
This time last week i was expecting the visit of Leicester City to St Marys to draw the lowest crowd of the season, especially since the Foxes have returned Block 43 in the Northam End and these were going on sale to Saints supporters.
But in the last few days there has been a surge in sales and we are now down to the last 1,400 or so tickets in the home sections with block 43 now being 80 % sold out.
So given that the first four home games saw full away sections it is now looking like the Leicester game will see more Saints fans in attendance than those earlier games and with two days still to go before the game a fair few of those tickets still left are likely to be sold.
For those who want to see Saints play cheaply there are still a few £30 tickets available in block 14, but they will be gone way befoe the day of the game I would imagine.
But most of the seats not bought are still only £35 for adults and that is a cheap price to see a Premier League football game these days, perhaps some would say even that is too much and football should be cheaper and I can agree with that, but the current prices charged are what they are throughout the League and there aren't many clubs selling individual tickets to their own fans for a game for £30-35.
It would be nice to sell the last tickets and once again show a full house to a watching TV audience, games under lights always have that extra magic, lets show the St Mary's atmosphere to the world.
