Saints Name Their Price For Elyounoussi

Celtic have reportably approached Saints and asked them to name their price for Mo Elyounoussi, should Saints take a big cut to get him off the books and free space for January.

Reports North of the Border suggest that Saints have asked for a fee of £10 million to make the move permanent and are willing to take a big loss on the deal.

Celtic fans are gleeful at the prospect, they rate the St Mary's flop at much higher and were expecting Saints to play hardball and look for the price they paid or somewhere near it.

But it seems that we would rather cut our losses now and bring in money that can be spent in January and free up wages off the books to bring in new recruits.

I would say that is a wise move by Saints and although they should not let him go too cheaply, we know what issues we have suffered from other player whom have gone out on loan because prospective buyer have baulked at the wages.

Saints need to price to sell and get some bodies off the books permanently.

Elyounoussi has been in excellent form since joining on loan back in August, scoring seven goals and assisting six in 12 games in all competitions, but playing well for a dominant team in a League where his side is normally well on top is far from the situation he faces in the Premier League with Saints.
