Villa Game Heading For A Sell Out

A quick look at the club's official website shows that there has been a surge in ticket sales, meaning that after just about our lowest top flight crowd ever against Burnley suddenly it's a full house

According to the seat plan on the ticket sales section of the club's official website there are only around 700 tickets in the home sections for the game against Aston Villa on Saturday and if previous games have been anything to go by most of these will go by Saturday morning.

That means there are likely to be something like 5,000 more fans in St Mary's than there were for the visit of Burnley, in truth more like 7,000 given the number of season ticket holders who were counted for that game but didn't bother turning up or in some cases as in fans from the Isle Of Wight couldn't get there due to ferries being cancelled.

But a week later it's different, yes there will be about 2,500 more visiting supporters for this one with Villa selling out there 3,000 tickets already, but in the home sections there is certainly a big difference between this time last week and now.

I would estimate about 700 tickets for sale although that figure might be boosted if the club suddenly find a chunk or two unsold in certain areas, something that they seem to do from time to time.

So if you are planning on going then the message is get on line now and buy your tckets, they might not be there by Saturday.
