Injury Crisis For Saints Ahead Of City Game
When you are hosting a rampant Manchester City side the last thing that you want is a raft of injuries, but that is what Saints have as they attempt to not only thwart City, but improve our appalling home form.
In the last five Premier League games at St Mary's Saints have lost four of them, all due to a lack of discipline and individual errors, they could be sitting in the top 6 if that record had been just a little better, but thankfully we can host City without fear of relegation.
But what we don't need is a shed load of injuries.
The main worry is Jannik Vestrgaard who has a muscle injury after an impressive performance against Watford, also both Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Sofiane Boufal won't be in Sunday's squad and Yan Vlaery and Nathan Tella neither of whom got on the pitch in the last game also have injuries.
But the real issue is in the back four with the free scoring City looking to keep the momentum going after slaughtering Liverpool in mid week.
But Jack Stephens is available again after serving a one match ban for his sending off against Arsenal and also returning will be Moussa Djenepo who has been unable to play in any of the first three games after lockdown due to his suspension for being sent off before the break against Newcastle United.
