Most clubs will suffer a decrease in season ticket sales due to the current situation, but the reality is that if you want to see a game in the first couple of months of the season you will need to be a season ticket holder to stand a chance of doing so.
Under normal circumstances the club could have expected season ticket sales to increase this season, after a fine end to the campaign just gone there was a feeling on optimism around the club not seen since the departure of Ronald Koeman 4 years ago.
But the Corona virus has changed things and many Saints fans are considering not renewing despite the club's price promise that any games that a season ticket holder cannot attend, either due to supporters not being allowed in, a restriction in numbers allowed or the individual themselves deciding they are not comfortable in attending,will see a speedy refund of the price of that match is not enough for some to commit themselves.
Existing Season Ticket holders have until Tuesday 1st September to guarantee their seat and take advantage of the special loyalty price.
The club have once again frozen Season Ticket renewal prices and introduced The Saints Promise — a series of commitments designed to protect Season Ticket holders, including a direct refund for any fixture played behind closed doors or where a Season Ticket holder cannot attend due to reduced capacity.
Things are finally looking up for Southampton FC, this is a difficult time for Saints and indeed all football club's it is a time that they need their supporters.
