Wesley Hoedt Joins Lazio On Loan
Saints have confirmed that Wesley Hoedt has joined the club he left to come to St Mary's, Italian side Lazio.
Saints have confirmed that Wesley Hoedt will join Lazio on a season long loan with an option to buy at the end of the loan period.
The 26-year-old centre-back moved to Saints from the Italian club in 2017, and has since made 45 appearances in his time at St Mary’s.
Hoedt, who has previously spent time on loan at Celta Vigo and Royal Antwerp, will now head back to Serie A for the remainder of the 2020/21 and will hope to help Lazio repeat their success of the last campaign, when they finished fourth.
Of all the players shipped out on loan, I do think that Hoedt could have improved our side if Ralph Hasenhuttl had given him a chance, however from the Austrian's arrival at the club he had decided that the Dutch defenders face didn't fit and he did not play a game under Hasenhuttl.
