Saints Legends To Take On AFC Totton In Charity Game

A plethora of Saints legends will be pulling on their boots to take on an AFC Totton side at the Snows Stadium in Totton next Friday evening all in the aid of charity and tickets re selling fast, find out more about the game and how to buy tickets here.

AFC Totton will take on the Ex Saints team on Friday 21st May 2021 at the Snows stadium, the Stags side will be a mixture of their first team, sponsors and perhaps the odd celebrity or two.

But the Saints side will feature players who will be household names to all Southampton supporters young and old, in what will be a keenly contested game with a competitive edge for a trophy that will be played for annually.

The Saints squad will include 1976 FA Cup winner David Peach as well as favourites from the 1980/90/00's, those slated to play at the moment include Matt Le Tissier, James Beattie, Wayne Bridge, Jason Dodd, Glenn Cockerill, David Hughes, Jo Tessem, Tommy Widdrington, Nicky Banger & David Puckett as well a number of other ex Saints not yet announced, there will also be guest appearances from the likes of Brian Howard who made a name for himself after leaving Saints as a youngster and the Roly Poly Goalie himself Wayne Shaw.

But there will be several other legends from the club in attendance who are unable to play but will be coming along to watch and sign autographs.

It is a true family fun evening with something for the kids with a funfair that will start before the game starts and afterwards it will carry on with ex Saint David Hughes getting on the wheels of steel to spin some tunes (Or whatever way they do things these days)

After the game it will be a party atmosphere with not just the music but the Saints squad will be staying on to sign autographs and pose for photos but also to talk to the fans and share memories.

The bars will be open from before the game until late and there will be food available on the evening.

It is hoped that the after match proceedings will be able to take place outside but if there is also plenty of socially distanced indoor space if the weather is not so kind.

Tickets are £10 for adults, £5 for children 13-16 years old and OAP's a family ticket of 2 adults and 2 children will be only £20 and members of the Royal British Legion and key workers can come in for £5.

All proceeds will be donated to the EX Saints FC 's chosen charity of Southampton Schools Charities and to AFC Totton's chosen charity of Mountbatten Hampshire Hospice.

AFC Totton's ground is situated on Salisbury Road Totton next to the Calmore Roundabout and there is parking both at the ground and in the nearby Calmore Industrial Estate.
