Ex Saints Take On AFC Totton On Friday Night

A crowd of almost 2,000 turned out last year to see the first of what is now an annual fixture between AFC Totton and the Ex Saints at the Snows Stadium, Friday 27th May sees the return of some Southampton FC Legends to SO45.

Last seasons game saw the likes of James Beattie, Matt Le Tissier, Jason Dodd, Glenn Cockerill and even David Peach from the 1976 FA Cup Final team take on a Totton side in what was an entertaining 7-7 draw.

Friday 27th May at 7.45 pm is the time and date set for this years showdown and hopefully the weather will be a lot better this year and another bumper crowd will turn out.

The AFC Totton side will be a mixture of Ex players, coaching staff and club sponsors and it should be a cracking game with the right level of competitiveness and showboating from the Saints legends side.

As last year the Ex Saints players are always keen to pose for photos and sign autographs as we all take a trip down memory lane.

Gates will be open from 4pm and there will be entertainment with a Fun Fair, Charity Auction, Charity Raffle, and Programmes will all be available on the night. Food will also be available as well as alcohol in the two function suites.

But of course this has a serious note and that is raising money for charity, this year's nominated good cause are Mountbatten Hampshire.

If you live in Southampton and west Hampshire, Mountbatten Hampshire (formerly Countess Mountbatten Hospice) is your local hospice.

They are a charity which provides free care and support to people with any life-limiting illness, including respiratory disease, Motor Neurone Disease, heart disease, advanced dementia, respiratory disease and cancer. They also provide free bereavement and psychological support to patients and their families.

Tickets for the game are £10 for adults, £5 for concessions (over 65 & 13-16 year olds) and £1

They are all available in advance using the link below or you can pay on the night.

For those travelling from afar although car parking at the ground is very limited, there is plenty of parking on the Calmore Industrial estate less than 100 metres from the stadium.
