Saints Coronation Day Fixture Change
With the King's coronation set for Saturday 6th May, the fixtures on that day were always going to be in danger of being moved, it has now been announced that the visit of Southampton to Nottingham Forest will be a Monday evening.
The latest fixture changes have been announced and instead of travelling to Nottingham Forest on Saturday 6th May, Saints now go on a Monday night with an 8pm kick off, with the game being shown on Sky Sports.
With this game being a bank holiday it will be the 3rd game of the day, with fellow relegation battlers Leicester travelling to Fulham and Everton going to Brighton for the 5.30pm game on BT Sports.
Not the best news for Saints supporters, although it is a bank holiday and no time will be needed off work on this day to travel up, with the game finishing around 10pm and of course getting out of the City in heavy traffic, it will be 10.30 pm before most start the 160 mile journey home.
That means it will be at least a 3 hour drive home for most and even longer for those who travel by coach.
Mind you it is a far longer journey for Everton fans going to Brighton with that journey being about 270 miles and they also will not be getting back until the early hours.
