Romeo Lavia Set To Snub Liverpool For Chelsea
Liverpool fans are up in arms on social media this evening as they look set to lose Romeo Lavia to Chelsea, Southampton fans would say they only have themselves to blame, as they have spent the last few weeks haggling rather than being realisitic.
Liverpool seemed to think they had Romeo Lavia in the bag, their discussions with the player suggested that Lavia wanted to move to Anfield and this seemed to lure Liverpool into thinking that they could use this to try and get him at a knock down price.
Southampton though were not caving in and suddenly over the last few days Jurgen Klopp and his men realised that something had changed and they suddenly went from haggling around the £48 million mark to putting in a bid for £60 million with Chelsea said to be now the players preferred destination and the Blues having tabled around £55 million.
Now topflight.com are like other media outlets taking up the story that there has been another twist to the tale and now Lavia's preferred destination is Stamford Bridge.
They quote The Athletic who have posted :
"Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia has decided to join Chelsea.
"Relations between the two clubs are good, so no issues are anticipated regarding an agreement.
"A fee in the region of £50million plus add-ons is expected to seal the 19-year-old’s transfer"
So another twist and Southampton fans just wish that Lverpool or Chelsea just get on with it, so we can get on with revamping our squad for the rest of the season.
