Southampton V Coventry In Pictures
Saints playing Coventry used to be a regular fixture for many years, but in the last 10 years we have played them just twice, here we take a look at some of those fixtures in pictures and see just how much has changed in the two years since they last played at St Mary's.
When Coventry arrived at St Mary's in the FA Cup on 5th February 2022, Premier League Saints were the clear favourites, however they had a real shock when Viktor Gyokeres gave the visitors a shock 22nd minute lead, however an equaliser by Stuart Armstrong just after the hour took the game to extra time and an 112th minute winner by Kyle Walker Peters settled the tie.
There are a few player who took part in that game that day who are likely to play tonight, obviously Stuart Armstrong & KWP who both came off the bench, but also Jack Stephens and Adam Armstrong who also both started and Che Adams who was an unused sub on that day.
Those 5 are the only remaining players still at the club from the 20 who were on duty that day, anyway here are the pictures from that game.
Our last visit to Coventry was back in December when Sam Edozie rescued a point and kept our unbeaten run going.
