Southampton V Liverpool Carabao Cup Ticket Details

Saints will take on Liverpool on Wednesday 18th December with an 8pm kick off, with the home supporters hoping that it will be a repeat of our last home meeting in the competition back in January 2017 and not the previous encounter in December 2015.

Liverpool will arrive at St Mary's on Wednesday 18th December hoping that they will do better than their last visit in the EFL Cup when Nathan Redmond gave us a 1-0 win that we defended at Anfield before Shane Long sealed the trip to Wembley.

Just over a year earlier Liverpool had spanked us 6-1 in a game where Sadio Mane opened he scoring after only a minute, bizarrely there could be two players from that fixture 9 years ago playing in this one next month, but they will both be playing for a different side, ex Saint Adam Lallana played for Liverpool that day whilst Virgil Van Dijk was in the Southampton defence.

Tickets for the game have already gone on sale to season ticket holders at £30 for everyone over 18 including OAP's and at £10 for all those under 18.

The season ticket holder window has opened this morning and will continue to Tuesday 12th November at 9.30 am at which stage they will go on sale to Saints members with a booking history.

The day after on the 13th season ticket holders will have the chance to but an extra ticket and then on the 14th they go on general sale to anyone with a booking history on the database with a booking history since 2021/22 season. At this stage the price will rise by £2.50.

If there are any left on the day of the game then the price will go up yet another £2.50 to £35 for over £18's and £15 for those under 18.

So the message hear is get in early, Liverpool will be sure to take their full allocation for this Cup game, so potentially somewhere around 5,000 away fans in attendance will reduce the number of home tickets available to 26,000.

Southampton V Leicester City The Verdict
It was 4 in a row for Tonda Eckert & his Saints side, another polished performance that pushed us up to 11th but more importantly to the fringes of the play off spots, posing the question how a team and it's players who were so poor just 3 weeks or so ago can be so different now.
