Arthur linked with Accy return
Dale keeper Kenny Arthur has been linked with a return to his former club Accrington Stanley.
Arthur was transfer listed by Dale at the end of the season. Having initially lost his place due to a back injury, he found it impossible to break back into the side due to the form of replacements Tom Heaton and Frank Fielding.
Dale boss Keith Hill has been quoted as favouring a return for Fielding, and as such, Arthur was made available for transfer with Dale not seeking a fee for his services.
Understandably, this has alerted his former club Accrington Stanley who he left twelve months ago. He left Stanley for the security of a two year contract at Spotland, with his girlfriend moving down from Scotland cited as an additional reason.
Local media in the Accrington area has suggested that John Coleman is mulling over a move for Arthur.
