Strong Squad To Farnborough
Saints send a strong squad up the M3 to Farnborough hoping that they wont suffer the same fate as a Chris Nicholl side in the late 80's when a full first team was well beaten.
With 7 of the travelling party with first team experience, plus the first sightings on English soil of new signings Danny Butterfield and Ryan Dickson there could be a fair smattering of Saints supporters.
The balance of experience and youth shows that Saints are stepping up their campaign and want to not only get playing time under the belts of the genuine first team contenders, but also give the youngsters a chance to play alongside them and show how near they are to a possible first team squad place.
But those travelling to Cherrywood road will probably do so for a look at the new guys, rather than in the hope of seeing a great Saints win, indeed Farnborough beat a youthful Saints side last pre season and older fans will remember when Chris Nicholl sent a full first team squad for a mid season friendly only to see it well beaten.
For those fans going, admission is £7 for adults and £5 for concessions with kids under 16 free.
Saints squad: Bialkowski, Forecast, Butterfield, Seaborne, Martin, Dickson, McNish, Mills, Pulis, Holmes, Barnard, Connolly, Racine, Tafazolli, Reeves, Argent, Doble, Holder-Spooner.
