The Taming Of The Shrews
Saints have a home tie in the first round of the FA Cup.
Saints have been drawn at home to League 2 promotion hopefuls Shrewsbury Town in the first round of the FA Cup due to be played on Saturday 6th November.
Saints have met the Shrews once before in the FA Cup winning 4-1 at the old Gay meadow Ground in 52/53 season, more recently a couple of clashes in the Lague cup the last one being in 93/94 season when after beating Shrewsbury 1-0 at the Dell in the 2nd round first leg, we were humbled 2-0 at Gay Meadow in one of the shocks of the round.
A home draw is what Saints could hope for though in the competition after being drawn away from home in both the 1st and 2nd rounds last season.
