Bay of Naples including Capri with day trips to Rome and Pompeii
Sicily
Sauze D'Oulx - ski trip in a fabulous area called the Milky Way, that stretches over a vast area across the Italian / French borders.

I also enjoyed my trip to a Veterans Football Tour close to Lake Garda and my missus loves Sardinia (but she hasn't taken me there yet !!).

Gad, sounds a blast. Did you explore the area and immerse yourself in local culture down there or just watch random Premier League games on telly and comment about them on a forum? Hey?

Hired a motorhome last October and drove round Italy for 2 weeks:
Milan - Lake Garda - Verona - Venice - Back To Milan (San Siro for Saints game)-
Rome-Amalfi-Sorrento-Capri-Saturnia springs- Milan.

Was a great trip, If your near Roma go to Saturnia Springs, its an amazing place, especially at sunset.

Been to all those places, Italy is a wonderful country. I'm currently at Manchester airport heading to bologna for a few days.

Didn't read the title properly....

in that case,

2. Lake Garda
3. Florence

If I was an Italian I would be hacked off that we seem unable to call their cities by the bname they are actually given ie

Roma = Rome

Napoli = Naples

Firenze = Florence

Even Milano we shortened to Milan

We do it everywhere though,

lisboa = lisbon
Sevilla = Seville

likewise other languages do it the other way round. It's just a historical language thing, not sure it's any reason to get wound up.

I went to Turin after Milan game was a nice city far better than Milan.
Lido Di Jesolo has a great beach and resort.

As this is Italian thread anyone else seen Subarra on Netflix its brilliant

Been to Milan a few times and always come away with the same impression, it's a bit of a dump and the food is worse than the rest of Italy.

If wasn't for work/Saints i don't think i'd bother going again (and lets be honest the odds of the second one happening again are tiny)

Siena, San Giminano Puglia, but so many others.
Italy and Italians are top drawer. Favourite country in Europe without a doubt.
And they can laugh at themselves as well...

Having done the San Siro last Autumn it would be good sometime to go back a do a big league game there.

Football wise, it would also be good to watch a derby in

Naples

Rome

Turin
