A little strange they became the first Premier League club since the transfer window was introduced not to make a summer signing, last season they werent good enough for anything higher than 3rd and they scraped that from Liverpool by 2 points and Liverpool have invested heavily, add to that Chelsea and Arsenal all with new managers and signings and they could drop to sixth in the pecking order.

A sad state of affairs in the Premier League in that I cant see anyone nudging into the top six outside of last years pecking order, even in the two years since we achieved that feat football has changed a lot

Their new ground isn’t going to be cheap - Levy is always tight and presumably this has exacerbated his parsimony.....

Not really surprising. They have spent getting on for near a billion on the new stadium.

The Big 6 looks set in stone for years to come. For those outside it's just the battle for 7th. Everton and West Ham have far more resources than the other 14 so should be 7th and 8th. Wolves and Fulham also have billionaire owners who are spending money on their clubs so should really also be finishing in the top ten.

For the remaining 10, inc us, it's all about staying up.

If Arsenal’s new boss doesn’t work out, Pochettino goes to Madrid, Mourinho sulks off, Chelsea have another duff season etc etc then you can get a ‘perfect storm’ where one or two other teams can sneak in. Rare I know, but it has happened. The thing with all these big clubs is that their managers (perhaps with the exception of Pep and Klopp) can’t all deliver the silverware their fans expect and so the manager goes and every time there’s a change there’s a risk....

West Ham and Everton might spend big but they dont spend well, Fulham and Wolves might have big money owners, but there are limits on what they can put in, the big six have become bigger in recent years because they have the support and status that generates income and grows their support, you know the sort of thing, the stuff that our fans sneer at like overseas tours and trying to set up connections in other countries.

Everton are about the only club outside of the top six who i would say wont get relegated and thats based mainly on the fact that they havent been for just about longer than any other club bar Arsenal

The Big 6 have huge over-seas fan bases as they have been winning trophies over the past years. For the Feckless 14 we can all do as many over-seas tours are we like but we are still going to have zero appeal to the average over-seas fans.

That would be like thinking the Washington Generals are going to have their own fan base rather than just being the opponents of the Harlem Globetrotters. That's all Saints and the other 13 are to the Big 6.

In his interview Poch blamed Brexit as to why Spurs didn't buy anyone !

Another good reason for Brexit
