Hes only 28 should be in his prime. Although i've just seen he's never played more than 30 league games in a season in an 11 season career, he seems to average about 25 games a season, i guess the first few years at Man United he was behind Ferdinand and Vidic and then competing with Chris Smalling, Jonny Evans for the central defensive birth, i'd take Smalling too btw. We need someone experienced to lead the defence, i'm fed up with trying young players there and hoping they work out. | |

He would get in the team, perhaps for a few games we might get some new signing bounce but after that I don’t see him improving our defence. He’d be in there purely because he was an ex united player. He’s not what you’d call a commanding presence or a general, that’s the sort of character we need right now alongside either Stephens or bednarek. [Post edited 16 Mar 2020 16:53]
