Saints V Brentford The Verdict on 09:28 - Sep 17 with 886 views | Bicester_North | We only had 3 shots on target against a championship side missing their best players. This wasn’t just defence, we were terrible all across the park

Exactly this. Its easy to criticize then defence but the forward line was equally as bad. I honestly think the way we ended last season made the players think they only need to turn up to win.

Agree 100%. It was a shocking performance by the whole team.
Saints V Brentford The Verdict on 11:26 - Sep 17 with 759 views | I_would | They've seen through Ralph's 'tactic', and Prowsey is leading them but, unfortunately, down the sh****r.

Saints V Brentford The Verdict on 14:21 - Sep 17 with 598 views | SouthSeaSaint | No one covered themselves in glory but we did miss some half decent chances. Shane Lon's miss near the end when faced with a reasonably easy tap in let the ball pass through his legs. Overall though being unable to score against a weakened Palace defence as well as a scratch Brentford side does not augur well for the season. We are in desperate need of more creativity in midfield. Ralf knows this but is there seems to be a problem with recruitment (or cash availability??)

did you see how high our defensive line was at times/how far up McCarthy was? That is a change from last season and an absolute car crash waiting to happen

Saints V Brentford The Verdict on 20:58 - Sep 17 with 403 views | kernow | No didn't see the game and missed nothing by all accounts. Sounds like the typical, traditional opening gambit from Saints. Everyone should know by now that the season only starts to pick up in October (hopefully). We"ve always been gash for the first five or six games before they wake up.
