I thought he wanted to move away for Champions League game time.
I very much doubt that Spurs will be able to offer him that next season. Still I guess PEH wanted to leave for the same reason, but has ended up with the Europa League and a League Cup final with Spurs.
More to the point, if I was Ings, I'd be asking myself:
Can Spurs afford me ?
Can they guarantee me game time or would I just be back-up to Kane ?
Who is their manager going to be next season ?
Do I want to move away from sunny Hampshire again ?

We have seen this so many times. Talks start on contracts, it drags on and on, said player leaves in the summer. The only thing i would say is that if hes going to spurs for 20mill then hold on to him as he is worth more to us than that. |  |

Ings looks fed up, he is lashing at chances, he isn't running around and he was dropped in the first place because of it. He is off in the summer and won't be much use to us.
