Gerry I am definitely really sorry to be missing Papa's.

They are probably the best fish n chips in the Country.

The ultimate six pointer on Saturday.

I mean how often do we get to play Grimsby on a Saturday afternoon?

Cleethorpes or bust!

Saturday is a vital game for both teams and Gazette reporting George has an injury so with Geeks out we may have to play Coulter. Surely in that position we can go for an emergency loan?
Personally I think we need to keep it tight and hope to grab a 0-0 draw as a defeat for us would sink us very close to the brown stuff!
How we could do with a fit Lapslie.
I think PCH should play alongside Pell, Weirdu and Chilvers as suspect Stevenson will not be fit.
Back four of Clampin, Eastman, Smith and MWH with Nouble supported by either Harriot who can always pull a goal out of the bag whereas Brown has dried up completely for whatever reason.

I'm guessing George picked that up in the same incident that saw their player go off injured last night? If so, means he carried it for three-quarters of the match - that's not good.

Grimsby (IMHO) offers the best welcome to away fans. I recall arriving early, being welcomed in the Home Bar, then being escorted around the pitch to the cosy Away Bar when that opened. We drank them dry of bottled real ale and the following season they brought in a variety, just to please us. In another year the fog became so bad the stewards moved us to a better vantage point. The Chippy near the ground is always a delight. Not my favourite opposition team, but usually an enjoyable day out thanks to their off-field people.

If George is injured we play Coulter?
Just read on U's web site, Coulter's background
"He fractured his skull in twelve places, was left partially blind in one eye and 50% deaf in one ear". Mmmmm!

Crikey - and he still pursued his ambition to be a professional goalkeeper! That’s one tough cookie.

If partially blind and 50% deaf should he become a referee?

Or maybe a Director of Football?

Allegedly the U’s have fielded a one eyed keeper. The replacement keeper was not signed in time to play in time . He played in a fine home win and kept a clean sheet ?

Poll: No half measure either 1 or 2 ?

Is there any chance that we could get Ethan Ross back from Lincoln via Weymouth!!!

You couldn't make this up.

Gerry the Cat, get those boots laced up you are needed at Cleethorpes on Saturday!

Said on BBC Essex we could be looking for an emergency loan goalkeeper. Failing that is Ron Green available?

Pity Ethan Ross is down on the South Coast, he'd be ideally placed to help out with a one-match loan otherwise...

Who would have thought that Grimsby Away has become our most important game of the season.

Defeat is unthinkable, and three points is crucial.

Latest news is that George is almost certain to start. Stevenson has been back training all week, and is likely to be in the squad tomorrow. Pell is likely to start, after coming on as a sub against Harrogate. Nouble is back after serving a one match ban, and new signing Cowan-Hall could start a league game for the first time this season.

Probable team againstr Grimsby: George, Welch-Hayes, Eastman, Smith, Clampin, Wiredu, Pell, Cowan-Hall, Brown, Harriott, Nouble.
