Lingard has only played 4 minutes of football for Manchester united this season, was surplus to requirements at United last season, probably will again be this and at West Ham had an explosive start with 9 goals in 10 games then nothing in the last 6.
As someone said a different player to JWP.
But because we got to the final that doesn't mean that the manager got everything right, Ward Prowse would be a wild card for England, a good player to bring on when we need to change things, mostly if a side gets the upper hand we create little and we can't change.
