At least it gave the Pompey Boo Boys an excuse to make some noise.

It's 'understandable' that they always boo their team as they are, after all, the worst supporters in the world. I've been to a few non-Saints league games at Fratton Park and the atmosphere there is dire. Their fans are always on the verge of turning against their team and in the end they usually do:

As we know, as well as being the worst fans in the country for booing their own team, they always turn against their managers, but they have turned against the latest one in record time He's barely arrived and they are hounding him out already.

The latest Little Pompey manager to be humiliated by the worst "supporters" in the land:

As for their official attendance figure of 15,330, what a joke that was. There were nowhere near that many. I watched the highlights on TV. The whole Milton End only had 544 Cambridge fans in it as they didn't even bother opening the home section because there were thousands of empty seats on the other 3 sides. Same old Pompey, always exaggerating their attendances.

They'll probably exaggerate their attendance for their next home game too but anyone can see from all the seats available 2 days before the game that it's really going to be half empty. The thousands of empty seats are probably a relief for their players as it means there will be fewer people booing them:

And as usual, they lose again: outclassed by Burton.

It looks like Little Pompey fans' dream of 'stayin up forever' in League One may be coming to an end, with them sliding back down to League Two:

Nigel Adkins Charlton got smashed 4-1 at home tonight, and are now 2nd bottom, 10 places below Little Pompey after 10 games.

He could be looking for new employment very soon, along with the Cowley bros.

I think Saints included season ticket holders in that number, I know of at least 6 season ticket holders who didn't go on Sunday for various reasons.

The records show that Burton and Pompey are usually two very evenly matched teams so they'd have been hoping for a draw:

They should be ok though to keep their status as a solid third division side.
Is it 10 year run they have clocked up now in the third division?

Yes, it's their 10th consecutive season in the bottom two divisions (4 of them in the 4th). In the last 60 years they have spent considerably more seasons in the lower leagues than they have in the top flight. Next season will be their 22nd in total down there. As you say, they are becoming very much an established lower league side. They are not even one of the biggest clubs in the lower leagues. Five League One teams get bigger crowds than they do.

Their fans have even been discussing the possibility of getting drawn against their local rivals, Havant & Waterlooville, in the 1st round of the FA Cup and not sounding too confident about beating them.

Imagine being SO small that you only get the 6th biggest average attendances in the third tier. That's Little Pompey for you.

Most of the posters on that Little Pompey messageboard are 70-80 years old. A few of them have got dementia. One of them definitely has as he thinks they need a 40,000-capacity stadium

The latest report from SkySpNews: "Boos ring out around Fratton Park" as usual. It must be a nightmare for the Little Pompey players having the worst fans in the world on their backs. No wonder they always lose. But at least half the seats are empty which must help their team a little bit. A 10,000 capacity will be more than enough for Little Pompey and their boo boy fans in League Two next year.

The Boo Boys still haven't heeded the warning Paul Cook gave them when he was Little Pompey's manager: "Paul Cook refused to criticise the Pompey boo-boys but warned Blues fans against turning Fratton Park into a ground in which their own side ‘fears to play’."
