Makes you wonder how much you need to spend these days.
Quite a few teams have spent 100m plus in various recent transfer windows and not really improved.
I can think of Fulham, Villa, Everton and Spurs. Villa maybe secured PL status now but are still only likely to be 8th to 19th.
Everton have spent a huge amount over the last 5 years and still won't crack the top 7.
It's one thing having the money to spend, but extracting full value from it is not easy. |  | | |

Interesting isn't it, that Koeman was excellent here but hasn't fared well at most other teams he has managed. Same for Adkins, who again was only good here! Southampton is the place to be. | |
