It does depend on the terms of the sale, but 20% is a sizeable minority interest and the 20% shareholder would always want to ensure that their stake could not be devalued by the actions of the majority shareholder. So the 80% shareholder is likely to have limits on what he could do, and the 20% some veto rights in relation to significant decisions - such as asset stripping the club.
