I saw those reports as well.
Hopefully Liverpool will come back, and take him as 3rd choice. It will also help with their allocation of 'non home grown' players.
We should move on from McCarthy. He was ok in last few games, but let's not forget the poor years before that (near post and flapping at crosses etc). If they do offer him a new deal, I sincerely hope it is not on the same package he is on now. [Post edited 25 Jun 18:03]
