I wouldn't have thought there are many brown envelopes being passed around, but almost certainly subconscious bias amongst referees
We all have teams we despise and wouldn't want to do well. I'm sure there was some of that there last night as people are pleased to see teams like Brighton (and us a few years ago?) doing well and breaking in to the top 6 or even 4 so why are officials any different? Other than they're supposed to be totally unbiased of course!

The administrators are corrupt. They would rather continue with a system that is completely broken than cancel the contract, which would no doubt cost them.

Not to mention the ‘jobs for the boys’. Very many more jobs for the officials when VAR is being used that just the 4 per match otherwise.

you cant get away from the facts,its the same inept referees on the pitch refereeing on the var so the outcome is obvious
