3 Names In The Hat To Replace Still 15:32 - Oct 27 with 8874 viewsSaintNick

1 Michael Carrick- two-and-a-half-year stint with Championship side Middlesbrough. won 10 of his first 14 games in charge after taking over in October 2022, with Boro in the relegation zone at the time of his arrival, and would help to lift them off the foot of the table towards the play-offs, which they lost to Coventry in the semi finals.

Finished 8th in his second season

2, Steven Gerrard- Success at Rangers and a mixed bag at Aston Villa.

3. Ralph Hasenhuttl, needs no introduction, but could come back and do a job

All of those are possibles. Carrick or Gerrard would be good choices I think. Both experienced as players and managers at this level and above with something to prove. Both quite big names who the players would respect. Slightly prefer Carrick I think, as he would probabaly stick around longer. Ralph, love his passion and remember the good times fondly. Not sure going back, is the right thing to do. Those 9 nils will be in the back of everyone's mind if we lose a game etc. So Carrick or Gerrard for me.

But the reason we need Sport Republic out as well, is because you just know we would appoint the Japanese wiz Jokojafacake, who is 32 and had one good season in the Bulgarian second division - such potential and cheap too.

Can see SR promoting Paul Trollope. Has managed previously including spell as Asst at Luton when they got promoted. Cheap option until the end of the season.

Carrick did progressively worst in his three seasons .
They finished 10th last season before being sacked.

Rob Edwards took over and now they're 2nd.

Ralph is only mentioned because he came the Bristol City game and people get all nostalgic.
.
Steven Gerrard..possibly , but in all honesty these clowns ruining our club are very likely to just keep getting it wrong along with player recruitment and until they're gone we're screwed..

Are there any shite attitudes though?
I think the players are bemused, confused and not happy with the lack of a game plan.

It also appears that Still is now ignoring any advice offered by Trollope or Lallana. So it seems he's another arrogant, stubborn clown who thinks he's a football genius but actually knows feck all.

Lallana's demeanour at the Blackburn game seems to confirm this.Usually animated and vocal, he just sat there looking grim most of the time. Trollope didn't look too happy either. What must they have thought when he took Scienza off and on trotted the old donkey Stephens?

My top three picks would be as follows, they’re a bit bonkers but as they’d take no sh1t from SR one would be worth a punt just for the entertainment value.
Ole Gunnar Solskjær
Tony Mowbray
Mick McCarthy

Or bring back Nigel Adkins? He led us to two successive promotions and still loves the Club.

You could sell tickets for Mick McCarthy meeting Ankersen - never mind embracing failure, Ankersen would end up embracing his laptop shoved somewhere the sun does not shine!

I'm not itk but I do happen to talk to an ex saints coach who says the players do not like will still much comes as being very arrogant very self centred and won't take advice from his coaches the guy I talk to coaches at another championship club wasn't sacked by saints so hasn't got a agenda against the club

No mention of John Eustace despite him having a good record in the championship. OK, he has not done so well at Derby yet, but so I hear, the club is in a mess. But he is above us now. Did very well at his previous clubs also.

Eustace's style of football is far from easy on the eye.

The 0-0 draw at Blackburn two seasons ago is one of the worst games I have ever had the misfortune to be at.

Serena Wiegman.
Our lot are playing like a bunch of women so let's get them a woman as coach.
(Tongue in cheek comment).
