Mike Channon put in a transfer request in the summer of 1975, the club turned it down which was lucky for both the player and the club regarding what happened next

Totally agree. A sensible manager (dare I say it), a manager with experience, does not alienate potentially useful, important players. These players might have wanted to leave, but you try to win them round in case they are needed or at least you humour them. Juric did it brilliantly with Sulemana. Will Still has completely blanked them, we are paying them thousands a week, 2 players who were very useful the last time we were in the championship and both played in the Premier League. Will Still decided he didn't want them from day one, alienated them and now we are paying them to.do nothing. They know their manager doesn't like them, so we will never see them under this clueless manager. [Post edited 27 Oct 23:15]

Still has confirmed that they are not up to match fitness yet !! .....that, despite the transfer window closing on 1st September (56 days for them to get fit) and the fact that both were involved in some of the pre-season games. They will probably remain out of the picture and continue to be paid a good weekly wage, until club or agent can arrange a move for them in the January window.

Another example of Still being clueless or lying or both No reason they can’t be match fit by now
