After visiting the not so delightful "SWANSEA" wondered about other hotels, pubs, towns that were just downright derelict and awful to visit... Don't get to too many away games these days, but crikey Swansea town and pubs had about as much appeal as climbing Kilimanjaro stark b*ll**k naked...
A place to visit for culture, class and style, it truly was not !!!
Appreciate the weather being dark, dank, windy, wet and not so mild didn't exactly add to the mix well, but crikey was pleased it is not my own personal abode...Working for the Swansea tourist board could well be a challenge, no doubt !!!
Any other delights and stories anyone has to offer of altermative similar waste zones, people have had the misfortune to frequent for an away day special ??

you still going to norwich, cant see anything bad about that place....
in fact its always been one of our best away days, going back to the 70's. |
1976 wasn't too clever in Norwich though, was it!!!
Masses of proper pubs in the fine city, serving great micro real ale.
Try the Fat Cat off Dereham Road - with over 50 real ales chalked on the board.
Try "Incredible IPA" - at 5:8% it makes the pain of piss poor play disappear with every sip!

Despite being in Derbyshire we do have an S postcode here in Chesterfield, and Sheffield is our go to city for a night out rather than Derby.
Probably need to go as far south as Alfreton before you find a DE postcode. Lots of people know that so it’s not even interesting for the other thread. |
So does Worksop,which is in Nottinghamshire.Not quite as confusing as the Leicester,Derby Nottinghamshire triangle a few miles south on the M1 though. |  | | |

yeah the 90 minutes spoilt that.
other than that, a great 48 hours up there over night with 200 others killed and drowned out the dissapointment.....until i woke up monday. |  |
