Having just watched it the most interesting question for me was the first one in relation to not having a substitute goalkeeper on the bench. I listened to Jims answer but he didn't convice me with his explanation to be honest and i didn't agree with him. The goalkeeping position is a critical position and to suggest he has a few players who are mad enough or fancy themselves in goal and he's happy to go with that doesn't seem right. Others will agree with his theory though.
I was interested in George Delves answer to the question on contract extensions where he claimed "a substantial amount of the squad are nailed down beyond the end of this season".
According to my records 18 of the 27 (non-loan) players have contracts expiring in the Summer including:- all defenders bar Adebayo-Rowling & Bilongo all midfielders bar Gilmore, East, Petit, Francis (& Humbles) all strikers bar Rodney & Dieseruvwe
Welcome any corrections but if right Delves was perhaps putting a gloss on the facts?

It does seem odd.
Thankfully we’ve not seen any opposition target our keeper physically to force a change.
Back in the 70s there was only 1 sub allowed..it was never a keeper..I seem to recall Niall Quinn going in goals for City.
Stepney the United keeper took the penalties..Burridge the keeper at West Ham I think sat on the crossbar during one game as he was bored….an odd bunch the Keepers!!!

Yeah, been saying all season that to not plan for an injury to the keeper makes little sense. It’s the one position that someone can’t “fill in” for off the bench. You can stick a defender in midfield or a wide player up front and it won’t carry much risk.
In fact, I’d be amazed to hear of any fan who can come up with argument not to have a sub keeper now there are 7 places on the bench!

I am trying to convince myself that they are actually hiding (god know why they would?) that someone, regularly involved either first team or sub, is a lot more competent in goal than they are letting on.
Unlikely but just trusting their decision and using that to convince myself it's right.

As many goalkeepers over the years have had an eccentric hint to their characters, I suspect that Tobi could be a candidate. And this would not deter him from the occasional overlapping run down the right wing!
