Just supposing that happens, why should Boro play in the final?
They didn't win and that was nothing to do with our misdemeanors as admitted by numerous experts including their manager, beaten by a better team and that they should have scored in that first leg but they were not good enough on the day. They were also beaten by the better team in the 2nd leg at SMS as they have also openly stated in interviews
Surely then, Hull should get automatic promotion?

To be fair to Luke Ayling he accepted THB's apology and the matter was closed
I was expecting that to be quite a serious issue and I think THB can consider himself pretty lucky that Ayling didn't decide to make a massive issue out of it [Post edited 15 May 6:59]
