FA Investigation 09:50 - May 21 with 2582 viewsWinchesterExile

This was expected and the reason we can’t just move on. Questions to be asked:

Whose idea was this?
Who knew about it?
And when?
Exactly what was the process to each spying incident.
Who was controlling the process and the information gleaned from the spying?
Who should have known about the spying but for one reason or another didn’t?
Are the three clubs the only ones subject to the spying or were there others?

And I’m sure there’s plenty more but these will do for a start.

I’m so f*ucking piss*ed off.

I quite enjoyed our time in League 1 ........................

We just don't stand a chance with every media outlet against us as well as every other club and their fans

The club needs to act very quickly and clean out the cheats and all who were complicit
Then get someone new in who represents honesty and integrity and has a history in English football
That will send a message
The longer they leave it the worse this will get

I think they have to leave it until FA finish their investigation now. Also, if they ban Tonda and co (anyone else found cheating) then we won't have to pay them off etc so that's a win

We all know that every club does it right? It’s called scouting, we’re just the unlucky ones who happened to give that c()nt Gibson an opportunity.

Poll: Who is the biggest c*nt?

Fook em, let them relegate us to the Hampshire League, I only go to watch Saints anyway, at least the away trips won't be too expensive 😉

Answering those questions and conducting the salem witch trials at the club will actually just be harmful. What would it achieve to apportion blame to everyone involved?

We need to move on and quick. Soul searching is going to achieve nothing and destroy what we have built up this season if footballing heads roll. And I don't want to throw the baby out with the bath water after this royal stitch up by Boro and the EFL

Parsons needs to go and protect what is more important than him. The football. His message to the fans yesterday convinced me. He offered nothing, no olive branch. No gesture of good will to reach out to the fans. Nothing. A bit like him really.

The timing of our ability to “move on” is now out of our control. The FA investigation will drive timing now. No matter how long that takes. Let’s hope it’s quick.

Well Chelsea bribed them with a £10.75m payment for serious financial cheating. Chelsea are valued at £2.42bn and we’re valued at around £200m so that should equate to a £888.00 fine for us

Following on from this sh1t show and with an eye on the future, maybe ask Jose Fonte if he would hold the reins. I’ve no idea about what badges he might hold, but he’s about to leave Casa Pia. I don’t care about points or even performances next year, just ask Jose to steady the ship and bring some honesty and integrity back to our club.

I doubt it but we are the stupid ones for how we did it. Don't get caught is the point but he made it so obvious I mean WTF?!

Hopefully the written response from the EFL as to why we got charged and expelled will be out very soon.

This is the issue I've been pondering whilst at work for the last couple of days (I do a pretty mundane Job with requires little concentration)

I may be wrong but from what I've read the whistleblower was an ex analyst employee of SFC who we'd recruited from Middlesborough, and was dismissed at the end of last year

It's rather fortuitous that a member of the Boro staff happened to see him and take a picture, almost as if he knew who to look for and be prepared for that person to turn up
We've been banned for a nipper with a iPhone filming their training session, spying, but extremely shit spying. If it's that inept then surely we'd have been rumbled sooner?

Doesn't change the outcome whatsoever but its been bugging me

Fail we may, sail we must

There is no evidence at all of anyone else spying, no evidence, not even anonymous suggestions. With the media storm that's happening and the money that could be made for selling stories, there would be stories in the press if this was happening widely. So people can claim whatever they want with nothing to back it up, but the evidence says we're alone.

But the key point here is that it doesn't matter anyway. So what if others do actually do it? Should we have been found not guilty because others do it? Obviously not. Should we get a lesser sentence because others do it? No again.

Say you have a problem like fly-tipping, just as an example. Say just one person does it, then compare that with the situation when lots of people start doing it. Should the sentences for fly-tipping be reduced because everyone is doing it? No, that would be daft.

The sentence we've been given is overly harsh, but that has nothing to do with whether others are doing it or not. Indeed, if others were doing it, that perhaps justifies a harsher penalty because the authorities would need to stamp it out.

So, there's really no point in people banging on about others spying. There's no evidence that it happens and it wouldn't matter anyway.

Spot on. We don't have a leg to stand on as many have said.

Some peeps here are just in denial of the inevitable

We got that punishment because there was no way on gods earth they were going to let a team that cheated play in the final. What sort of precedent would that have set, we got what was coming end of story and no amount of whataboutery is going to change that.
