Now we have a new second-most-hated team! Quarrelling on line with Middlesbrough trolls became a pastime for many during the crisis. As the dust settles what is our actual case against them?
They certainly fought an aggressive and dishonest media campaign which contrasts with the limp lettuces of SR and they are obviously the extremely lucky beneficiaries of Tonda’s idiocy. Annoying as that is, they both stem from Tonda’s misbehaviour. My question is: do we really have a long-term reason to revile them?
For me the crux is how Salt’s visit actually really affected them. Is the rumour of them being tipped off by a whistleblower true? If it is then that is decisive confirmation that their response was dishonest (cheating) from the very start. Also, how long was Salt actually filming for? and was it really penalties?
Basically, if they didn’t know in advance and didn’t know how long Salt had been filming then I think in the long-term they are just guilty of a cynical but effective campaign – if only SR had something similar! The trolls are only kids with their todgers in their hands so in a few years it will be largely forgotten.
If they did know then the evidence should be sent to Hull for their legal campaign if they lose on Saturday. It makes them total frauds, every bit as dodgy as Tonda.

We deserve a penalty that's proportionate to the offence and the EFL have gone way beyond what is reasonable in my view.
