I think I need help. 10:10 - May 23 with 5173 viewsgrumpy

I’ve never been so depressed.
I know the club I love has done wrong.
I just need someone on here to cheer me up,I don’t want to argue about anything.
I can see Saints adrift now for many years and this after one of the best seasons I’ve seen.
Will always be a Saints fan but feel so down now 😔

You're not alone in that I'm sure

Not much of a consolation but the weather is set to be really nice today so I'm going to make the most of that and probably go for a walk round the local lake this afternoon and try and forget that we should all have been at Wembley

Those in charge of SFC have massively let every supporter down and I find it extremely annoying and rather disrespectful that they have said absolutely nothing since the final verdict on Wednesday

Aww. Big virtual hug Grumps.
Summer is on its way.
I wake up each day thankful to still be here.

Either West Ham or Spurs will be relegated on Sunday. Now that will be funny whichever of them drops, both winning European trophies within the last two years and both adored by the media.

Football can turn around pretty quick if clubs make the right or wrong moves.

I understand.
I was posting recently and said the wrong things, mainly due to my sadness.
Let’s start with, the best goal you saw at The Dell ??
Of course there is many but Keegans phantom goal vs ManU, Ivan Golac v WBA and the one touch against Liverpool. These are just starters and games for me I saw as a teenager. That’s why we love our club .

MLT's two against Newcastle for me and the one against Norwich where he pretty much dribbled past the whole of their team before rolling the ball in the net

Best performance I've ever seen from Saints was when we beat Liverpool 4-1 in 1989

Grumpy…you are not alone.

You have literally hundreds of virtual ugly mates who at one time or another, have been or are going through your anguish. Me and any one of the hundred of others would at the drop of a hat, offer to give you hand with something, tell you a rude joke, buy you a pint or simply sit and listen.

Best team on the planet, best fans on the planet. Stay strong, keep talking and stay supporting the Saints.

Hang in there Grumps you are far from alone.

Best thing to do is to keep busy.

Go for a drive, mow the lawn, take a stroll by the sea, talk to your family, read a book.

Today will be the worst day. Get the Final out of the way and you will soon start to feel better particularly if Hull win.

Best wishes, Saintmark 1976.

also feeling down the dumps, don't worry, you are certainly not alone! Luckily, surfs looking OK, so will get in which helps but doing any activity will take your mind off things. When you come back to it, think "well it's completely out of our hands so there is not a single thing we can do it about it". It will take some time but we will unite and go again.

In the short term, when I feel depressed about it, I then think about all the teams that got relegated and that makes me feel better and of course thank god I'm not a Pompey fan. Humour is the way forward!

It's tough times for sure.

I keep trying to think of how gutted I would have been if I had gone today and we had lost.

It was far from guaranteed that we would win. Hull have a great record in the play-offs and are not a team we seem to do well against.

Also hoping that Boro keep up their record of being useless at Wembley.

Beyond today, the next 3 months will be tough. We will see quite a few players depart up until the end of the transfer window, and as ever, it won't be the ones going that we want to leave.

We just have to hope we can get an inspiring new manager, and he can bring players in who will have a really positive impact.

Poll: If we were today re-instated to the play-off final, would you go on Saturday?

Keep your chin up grumps..it least your not a skate .
Suns out and today i will mainly be working in the garden i may listen to the game hopefully the hull will win . But our luck the way it is i don't think they will be allowed to . Var ref bias gibbo will sue hull for winning if they do .

Sorry i was supposed to make you feel better . Get out in the sun with people you love and forget the shít ever happened

keep the faith coyr

Grumpy - I'm coping by endlessly posting on TUI about Mboro-EFL axis of evil and the such. Totally pointless and probably annoys the feck out of all of you wonderful TUI compadres but it makes me feel better - for a minutes anyway, then I have to post again. So maybe enjoying the sunshine and (please God I will start believing in you if it happens) a Hull win today is a healthier approach.

Come on everybody, why not give Grumpy and lift and try to carry him to 50 replies and 1000 views before 15:30. Just a single word (not rude) would do.

It was written in the Gods, a win for Hull. I reckon there’s one Grumpy person in a red and white shirt who’s a little happier now.

San Marco, you need to go straight to Mount Athos with the monks and spend the rest of your life in praise of Almighty God!

And Grumpy this has cheered me, it would have been very galling if those bleaters had taken our spot, so I hope it helps you too.

I wholly disapprove of what you say and will defend to the death your right to say it.

It's not all that bad. We could still get a playoff run going next season despite the -4 start. Thats f**k all over a 46 game season.

The players that will stay with a few additions will be good enough assuming we don't go back to Russball under any new manager.

Thanks fellow Uglies for the words of encouragement.
Time will heal.
Guess we have to batten down the hatches now.
The weather was glorious today, walked round Lymington Market, bought some plants and spent time in the garden, now I looking forward to enjoying my Bottle of fine Malbec.
I'm glad Boro lost today,I have nothing personal about Boros fans and that must of hurt today, they are fans just as we are,as for their hierarchy.........

Grumps I know how you feel but

The World Cup is around the corner.

Even when we lose a few players we will still have a decent squad in this league and we’ll sign a few others .

We will win more games than we lose next season, that wouldnt be the case if we got promoted.

Supporting this club is a rollercoaster but it’s never dull. Imagine supporting a team like Reading or Swindon .

Up The Saints Grumps !

A squad full of terminal losers. Pathetic performance. Not a single one of them had the bottle to take a single risk over 90 minutes. No passion, no courage… just pass the ball sidewards for 90 minutes. Don’t ever want to see Brynn, Targett, Whittaker, Strelec or Browne in a Boro shirt ever again.

I have absolutely loved football and Middlesbrough FC my whole life but this squad has managed to kill all love I have for the game and Boro.

Sue them

We were awful today. We've blown it so many times now, we don't deserve promotion. See you all in a couple of months.

No, don’t do that, don’t turn away from the forum.

It comes with the territory of being a Boro fan, we face dark times and disappointment
