Sadly I can’t.
Personally I can only think of two World Class players in the squad.
Bellingham and Kane.
The rest are either mediocre to good on this stage.

As for the World Cup, it would be quite a remarkable achievement if England even beat Mexico in the Azteca Stadium, where the hosts have a huge home advantage, let alone Argentina and France. The northern European teams really suffer in the conditions there.

It's all right. I knew. But, what Chelsea achieved, beating PSG in the stadium where the World Cup Final will also be held was considered almost as unlikely. Not many English players in the Chelsea team though.
At the moment, France look unbeatable, but you never know what might happen and a red card or two could stop them. But, then it would most likely be Argentina. England don't even appear to be one of the top 4 teams there so you wouldn't expect them to reach the semi-finals. [Post edited 30 Jun 10:46]

If England could use players born in England, like Olise, Semenyo, Haaland & McTominay, we might have a better chance.
But, France would still have the advantage. Far more great players are born there, albeit mostly with African parentage. If you based a team on the nationality of their parents, Ivory Coast would be unbeatable.

Right now I can't see us winning it. That said, no one looks that great.
France are indeed rightful favourites but they are still vulnerable at the back.
Argentina look ok but they have had a fairly easy ride to this point. spain look ok, nothing great.
As for us I do think we will be more comfortable against teams that actually come at us.
Ghana, Panama and now Congo were all happy to sit back so I sympathise with the players. Even if you beat your man there are two more behind him. It's very hard to look good in those games. Ultimately we don't look as slick as some others but that doesn't mean we can't win it. We can hope! |  | | |

Those 3 could fit into any side in the world cup, when fit. There's no way on earth I'd want to swap Rice and Anderson with their Brazilian equivalents.

I thought Sweden were awful and made France look good. Apparently Sweden only qualified for the world cup by winning div 3 of the league of nations rubbish. That said the french move the ball beautifully at pace. The kind of invention England never have.
Brazil are no better than us, their midfield has no legs what so ever.

No team from outside that area has ever beaten them there. So, basically, it would be mission impossible for England. They'd need weeks of high altitude training to make them competitive. So, even if we beat Congo, there's not a lot to get excited about. The only way England could have progressed would have been to deliberately lose a group game in order to avoid playing Mexico at the Azteca. [Post edited 1 Jul 10:02]

True, but Tuchel believes in preparation and I'd be surprised if they haven't already been doing "altitude" training, like using special masks that can mimic the conditions. They wouldn't have wanted to say anything about this yet because they would be accused of arrogantly assuming they will get to the Azteca, but I reckon we'll start to hear about this if we win today.
