Southampton will be rubbing their hands as the pursuit to sign midfielder Shea Charles became a little more competitive as two more Premier League clubs joined Leeds United in the race for his signature. 2

It’s unclear whether he really wants to leave if he does then obviously this is good news but if he isn’t bothered we don’t want to be selling our best players yet again. Charles is a quality player and will excel in the championship again next season ,it’s difficult to see a better replacement player for him. We need the strongest team possible next season if we are serious about promotion especially with the points deduction.

I would imagine there will have to be a balancing of the books after not going up

Didn't Solak allude to a couple of players being sold in his interview a few weeks back? I took that as being Shea and THB
I hope they both stay but I'll be very surprised if they do
I would imagine we'll see a lot more of Bragg this season, who always impressed me when I saw him play last season

Fail we may, sail we must

Yeah I get the balancing of the books thing but if he does go we would need a very good replacement and another striker now Stewart has gone. Archer is not prolific enough and I don’t think Brereton Diaz will set the world alight.

Good point about Bragg, I think he’ll get a lot of game time this season . We really don’t want to start the season with a weaker team than the one that finished last season .

I can see why Premier League teams are queueing up for Shea Charles. He can fill that pivotal midfield role that the likes of Declan Rice and Rodri play in. He's still only 22 and he's getting bigger and stronger. He's not ready for the very top clubs yet, but for a mid-table team he'll be a very good investment. Over the next 10 years it will be interesting to see how far he can go. We certainly need a sell-on clause .

I wish him well. He's never let us down, but he should be playing top-flight football now. The same could be said of Harwood-Bellis. Those two are both good enough for the Premier League.

There aren't many players good enough for the Premier League who choose to stay in the Championship. I see Hayden Hackney has already left Middlesbrough.
