Blackmores opening speech was only about 10 mins long , not bad for him .
He opens the forum and asks each person in the from the cub a question before finally opening it up to those fans that were there .
That's not bad for him but he can’t keep quiet and will often tag onto a question or ask it in a different way . |

Might be quicker to walk, I know when we got the train a few seasons ago it seemed to take ages.
Not sure what the crowd will be tomorrow though, I’m guessing about 4 or 5000 . |

Did we have any fans in the seats? All the photos I’ve seen on line just show the 200 or so fans on the terrace.
When I looked on the club website they said the seats had sold out. - did they just not put them on sale? [Post edited 4 Aug 20:31]

Than anything else, late KO, a bit of a pain on the train especially after the game, people on holiday still and dare I say the fact Pompey will be taking a shed load to West Ham on their big day out may put some off to. |

How many championship players get sold for over £30 million, I’m not on about players being sold after relegation but players that are sold for that sort of money that have been playing in the championship for a year or more?

Just seen some of the favouritism towards Argentina last night. You can see where these rumours around FIFA wanting certain teams to go through come from.
Unfortunately the World Cup has been a success and generated lots of money for FIFA until that changes then nothing will change - It would take a brave decision by a lot of people and countries to change things and I can’t see that happening. |

Hence my comment “ if they could get away with it”
Certainly clubs like Nick Liverpool or man Utd would make more money , but like you say for saints it would be more of a gamble.
I think Hull stopped selling Season tickets a few seasons ago instead made fans pay a direct debit to pay for tickets ( or something like that anyway) I know their fans kicked up a stink about it and I think it only lasted a season before they started selling season tickets again. |

I guess it boils down to should the woman’s team be self funded or subsidised by money raised through the men’s team?
If the women’s team is self funded then there’s no way they can carry on losing £2 million a year. Cuts would have to be made.
Of course there is a minor issue of how much merchandise sales would go to the women’s team , not sure how they would work that out . |

I don’t think there are any set rules about how many season tickets a club sells. That would be down to the individual clubs themselves.
Most clubs would rather not sell season tickets at all if they could get away with it as they get more from selling tickets on a match by match basis.
My season ticket was £597 or just under £26 a game. If a brought my ticket individually it would probably work out over £30 a game on average or around £690 over a season . So the club gets more money selling individual tickets. |
