Conference went well I see. Boycotted by Sultana. Independent MP’s buggering off and then being accused of transphobia. A very public slanging match ensues. A few half hearted chants of Free Palestine then home in time for a cup of tea and Coronation Street. How can anyone in their right mind take them seriously? |

Tymon has pleasantly surprised me I think he’s one of the better left backs in the league, Key has regressed though to a pathetic level, whether it’s confidence or he just wasn’t good enough in the first place I don’t know but he doesn’t seem to have any defensive awareness whatsoever. When he first came he was playing on the left and skipping past players for fun I don’t know what happened to him. Perhaps being the only right back at the club has bred complacency because he knows he’s gonna get picked no matter what. |

So many pills you can hear her rattling when she walks down the stairs. My missus is very intelligent got a good degree had to give up her job to go back live with her mum, how the hell they expect her to live on £4k a year is beyond me, especially since she’s paying for two. She had to sit on the phone and be interrogated for over an hour the other day by the benefits office about all the outgoings on her account. “Why did you withdraw £10 on such and such a date” going all the way back to July. It stinks. |

Centre backs don’t always need to be quick though. Cabango and Burgess are also a bit cumbersome and slow on the turn although Cabango does have good recovery pace when he gets going. Most of our goals conceded are coming from crosses/set pieces and he is 6’5 ish perhaps that’s exactly what we need? I’m not sure writing off a player coming back from a long injury for 25 minutes in a game we’ve already lost is a fair assessment. |

My partner is a full time carer for her mother who has had three heart attacks in the last five years. It’s a 24 hour 7 day a week job. Her mum has got mental issues that often means she’s up and wanting food cooked and cups of coffee at 3/4 in the morning. £80 a week she gets for that. Yet you read about other people getting paid 3/4k a month for doing absolutely f all the whole system needs tearing up and starting again. |

Most teams we play are just happy to sit back and let us have the ball knowing we won’t do much with it before counter attacking us when we give it away. Priority one I think is finding ways to break down these teams and create chances when they’ve got 10 men behind the ball. |

I worked with a guy years ago who had 5 kids by the time he was 22. He gave up work because he could earn more money not working and has been living in a massive 6 bedroom house up in sketty somewhere. |

They are marketing digital ID as a way to stop people who don’t have the right to work from gaining employment but it’s a moot argument because they are all in the gig economy and employers have had a legal requirement to check right to work status on day 1 for years already or face a massive fine. It will not solve anything on this front. |

Rupert Lowe (yeah i know) is today claiming that a whistleblower in the home office has provided him with data that suggests that there are over 53000 illegal migrants who have absconded/gone missing and can’t be found. There was a report recently that 50 migrants claiming to be children had gone missing in Kent. There was also a report a few months earlier that 440 children were unaccounted for last year. Surely losing 500 children should be a massive national scandal, especially when many of them are likely to end up in exploitation/sex/drug trafficking. What the hell is going on and why are we allowing this to happen? |

It’s not perfect, it never was but with the alarming increase in judicial activism in recent years it’s much more preferable to a potentially biased or politically motivated judge. |
 | Forum Reply | The (partial) end of trial by Jury at 16:19 26 Nov 2025
It goes back way before that. It was common in Saxon England and Germany to have a group of villagers appointed to hear and judge crimes. Henry II brought in the first offical jury system when he commissioned 12 knights to travel the land to listen to all the big cases, then it became widespread around Christendom after Pope Innocent III abolished trial by ordeal in 1215. Many idiots attribute it to Magna Carta which coincidentally was issued in the same year but as we know that was an absolute failure and was ignored by the king and annulled by the Pope almost immediately. Who the hell Lammy thinks he is is beyond me. |

Full backs stepping into centre midfield when we had the ball. Left our flanks completely exposed and Cabango having to step out to deal with wingers. Especially our right flank with Ronald and Cullen giving the ball away stupidly at every opportunity. Key just doesn’t have the footballing intelligence or ability to play such a role. Both their goals came from that side it’s no coincidence. If we are to persist with this system we need a right back who can actually do it. Perhaps Galbraith could fill that role for now until we get someone decent in. |

Most important thing is to get the confidence back in these players and the feel good factor back around the fan base. Tonight might be too soon as they’ve only had a day or two but I hope he’s made it clear that every shirt is up for grabs and we see a real blood and thunder effort. Some players have become far too comfortable and complacent. |
