What hope the u23 have for the future-
at 16:37 23 Apr 2018

Especially as Jaidi gives this advice!

"The success of the season is always referring to developing the players, getting them to the next level. I always say to our boys, measure yourself against the first team. Learn from them and bring that level to your 23s performances.'

FROM LEICESTER MERCURY

'We are now properly into the Puel Era, in terms of tactics if not personnel, and Thursday night’s game was played out against a backdrop of empty seats and booing .

Is decision to drop Wes Morgan the changing of the guard at Leicester City?
If this really was the beginning of next season, it wasn’t a great advert for season tickets.
City failed to get past a very poor Southampton side who are spiralling towards relegation, and for all this talk of possession football, City only edged it, 54 per cent to 46.

Building for the future is an admirable concept, but we attend matches in the present and it appeared that many supporters are getting very frustrated.
The last home win was in January, despite a string of fixtures against modest opposition, and people are now starting to vote with their feet.
There are still plenty of fans who still think that Puel is the man to lead us through this time of transition, and should be trusted with a huge transfer budget and the pre-season programme, but after Thursday I would suggest that they are now the minority.
Battle lines have been drawn in the social media arenas of debate and, not for the first time, the insults are flying between the two camps.
Looking at the upcoming fixtures, I get the feeling that the end to this season will not be a happy one.

HONEYMOON OVER?
at 07:11 22 Mar 2018

Seems like he is reverting to type---(From Foxes Trust report on Chelsea cup match)---

'After a bright start City started to drop back into their recent slow passing sideways and back mode which at times seems rather pointless and frustrates the crowd. One can see what Puel is trying to achieve but has he got the right players to play his way?'

A goalless draw at home to Stoke last weekend merely heightened those concerns but ahead of Saturday’s trip to another struggling side, Newcastle, Pellegrino has defended his tactics and insisted he is not afraid to shake things up.
“In football it is really difficult to agree with everybody,” he said.
“I don’t make decisions for the comments. I make decisions thinking about what I believe, what I see every single game ,and I have the information on my players every single day and I see them.
“The staff’s job sometimes is about intuition and sometimes it depends on them because I don’t see any single club in the world that the best player is on the bench.
“The player on the pitch has to defend how they are every single weekend . If they play well they will continue, if they don’t play well they maybe will have another opportunity.
“This season we changed the goalkeeper, we changed the centre-back, we changed the striker, we changed the second striker, we changed the wingers, we changed different systems.
“The only players we didn’t change are Cedric (Soares), Oriol (Romeu) and Ryan (Bertrand), but most of them have had the opportunity.
“The stats say we are the third team in the Premier League that arrive more in the final third, so do you think we are a team that don’t attack, or that I told my players don’t go forward?
“This is data. It is not my comments, it is reality.
“I accept the comments because we are in one job that is amazing, but when you don’t win nobody is happy. The first one who is not happy is the manager.”

Why bother? They will have to do it all again come May, although perhaps just getting rid of the Premier league logo wouldn't take too long. 😉
