Grayson firm
Grayson firm "outsider" to replace Sven at Leicester
Monday, 24th Oct 2011 21:12 by Marko

Leeds fans will be relieved to hear that despite his connection with the Foxes, one bookmaker has Simon Grayson as far out as 14-1 to replace Sven Goran Eriksson at Leiocester.

According to Paddy Power (there are other bookmakers out there btw), Larry is quoted as the same odds as Gary McAllister, Lee Clarke and Carlo Ancellotti.

Ahead of Grayson, you can get 12-1 on Steve McLaren, 10-1 on Mark Hughes, 4-1 on Billy Davies and the current favourite is former boss Martin O'Neill at 5-4.

Eriksson apparently has "left by mutual consent" according to the Foxes' website on Monday evening following a 3-0 humbling at home by Millwall on Saturday, which left Grayson's old club lying in 13th place.

Meanwhile on a shoestring budget and despite losing some of his best players, Grayson has firmly secured the whites' in the place-off places and Leeds could go second with as win at Birmingham on Wednesday night.

However surely the lure of Thai millions and an obsession to brand the Foxes as a top Premiership side in the far-East would be a lure to any ambitious young manager?

Long may Larry reign at Leeds and I am sure he will be in the away dug-out when we head to Leicester on November 6th! I think their obsession with the out-of-work Martin O'Neill will block any shock departure from ER for our much coveted boss despite his status as a legend in O'Neill's unfashionable team of the 1990's.
