Where has Andrew Davies  Been is The Big Question. 

That will be answered this week as Davies returns to full time training.

If you cast your minds back when Davies was ruled out for the rest of the season with his facial injury back in March, it was decided to get some ankle surgery done as well, this has meant that he has not yet been ready to return to full out physical contact in training, instead working on his running and general fitness along with ball work.

But this week its intended to bring him back into the squad and throw him into the fray, of course he wont have got any of the work the rest of the squad have managed and played any games, however its hoped that his all round fitness, although nowhere near peak condition, wont be too bad with the work he has done on his own.

This being the case, it will now just be a question of how quickly he can get back up to speed and of course get a couple of pre season games under his belt.

Saints wont want to rush him for fear of a recurrence of his ankle injury, however they know that if he is to stand any chance of playing at Cardiff in a little over two weks time, then he will have to get at least a couple of games under his belt.

What will effect how quickly Saints throw him back into action will be the progress of Michael Svensson, if he can accellerate his attempt at a comeback with no side effects, it will buy breathing space for Davies and allow Saints not to have to throw him back in before he is ready either from the ankle point of view or fitness.

On the Svensson front he came through another 45 minutes against Celtic and in that time looked strong, the big test however will be getting him through a full 90 minutes.
